ETRUSCAN ROOM
The Etruscan Room is the focal point of any function on Temple Island and can host up to 40 for a lunch or dinner. Of fine proportions, it commands magnificent views of the River Thames and the surrounding countryside.
The frescos, now beautifully restored, were based on designs which had just been discovered at Pompeii around the time the Temple was built in 1771. This is the first example in England of the form of ornamentation which came to be known as the Etruscan Style.
